Afghanistan Beverage Industries Ltd. ist Afghanistans erstes Mineralwasserunternehmen. Es wurde 2004 mit Mitteln des Afghan Renewal Fund gegründet und produziert in Plastikflaschen abgefülltes Trinkwasser der Marke "Cristal".

Es beschäftigt rund 170 Mitarbeiter in einer Kabuler Fabrik. Die am Rande der Stadt gelegene Fabrik füllt 13.000 50cl Flaschen in der Stunde ab.[1]

In Zukunft sollen bis zu 350 lokale Mitarbeiter beschäftigt werden was indirekt 5000 weitere Arbeitsplätze schaffen würde.

Ein 2006 mit der U.S.-Armee abgeschlossener Vertrag bringt dem Unternehmen geschätzte 600.000 US-Dollar im Monat ein.[2]
