African Continental Cycling Centre

Das African Continental Cycling Centre (ACCC) in Potchefstroom nahe Johannesburg ist eine Einrichtung des Weltradsportverbandes Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).

Das ACCC wurde 2005 mit dem Ziel gegründet, den Radsport in Afrika weiterzuentwickeln. Seitdem wurden dort rund 250 Radsportler und Radsportlerinnen trainiert. Darüber hinaus bildet das Centre Trainer aus und organisiert Trainingslager. Besonders talentierte Sportler werden in das „World Cycling Centre“ der UCI im schweizerischen Aigle entsandt. Zudem dient das ACCC als Vertretung der UCI in Afrika; sein Leiter ist der frühere Weltklasse-Bahnradfahrer Jean-Pierre van Zyl.

Bekannte afrikanische Fahrer, die im ACCC trainiert haben, sind u.a. der mehrfache Afrikameister Daniel Teklehaymanot aus Eritrea und der mehrfache marokkanische Meister Adil Jelloul.
