Die City of Albany ist ein lokales Verwaltungsgebiet (LGA) im australischen Bundesstaat Western Australia. Das Gebiet ist 4312 km² groß und hat etwa 32.000 Einwohner.

Albany liegt an der Südküste etwa 400 km südöstlich der Hauptstadt Perth. Der Sitz des City Councils befindet sich in der Küstenstadt Albany im Südwesten der LGA, wo etwa 25.000 Einwohner leben[2].

Verwaltung

Der Albany Council hat 12 Mitglieder. Je zwei Mitglieder werden von den Bewohnern der sechs Wards (Breaksea, Frederickstown, Kalgan, Vancouver, West und Yakamia) gewählt, der Vorsitzende und Mayor (Bürgermeister) wird zusätzlich von allen Bewohnern der LGA gewählt.
