Amenia ist eine Stadt in den Vereinigten Staaten, Dutchess County, New York (Bundesstaat). Bei einem Zensus von 2000 wurden 4048 Einwohner gezählt.

Der Name leitet sich aus dem Lateinischen amoena ab, der "lieblich gelegen" bedeutet.

The Town of Amenia is on the east border of the county. The town has train service to New York City via the Metro North Railroad. The local train station is called Wassaic, after the hamlet of Wassaic--a part of Amenia.

Amenia liegt an der östlichen Grenze des Countys. Die Stadt hat Zugverbindungen nach New York City über die Metro-North Railroad. Die lokale Zugstation heisst Wassaic, benannt nach dem Dorf Wassaic, das ein Teil von Amenia ist.
