Burnbrae (von schottisch burn=Bach und brae=Abhang[1]) ist eine kleine, nur aus wenigen verstreuten Häusern bestehende Ortschaft in einem dünn besiedelten Gebiet im Buller-Distrikt der Region West Coast in Neuseeland. Es liegt am State Highway 65 (SH 65) zwischen Warwick Junction im Süden und Paenga im Norden. Der Ort befindet sich etwa in der Mitte des SH 65 und ist von seinem nördlichen Anschluss an den State Highway 6 37 und vom State Highway 7 bei Springs Junction 35 Straßenkilometer entfernt. Die Grenze zur Region Tasman befindet sich nördlich von Burnbrae.

Burnbrae liegt am Warwick River, einem Nebenfluss des etwa fünf Kilometer westlich verlaufenden Maruia River. Zwischen dem Maruia und dem Ort befindet sich der 1315 m hohe Mount Rutland, etwa acht Kilometer nördlich der 1606 m hohe Mount Mantell. Burnbrae selbst liegt etwa auf 400 m Höhe.

In Burnbrae zweigt eine Straße in östlicher Richtung vom SH 65 ab, die zum Tal des Matakitaki River führt. Hier liegt die Siedlung Upper Matakitaki und eine kleine Parallelstraße zum Highway führt im Tal des Flusses nordwärts nach Murchison.
