Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter (* 21. Februar 1961 in Siegsdorf) ist ein in den USA wegen Mordes inhaftierter deutscher Hochstapler, der als Clark Rockefeller bekannt wurde.

Leben

Er kam 1979 als Austausch-Student in die Vereinigten Staaten.[1] 1981 heiratete er Amy Jersild Duhnke in Madison (Wisconsin) und konnte so eine Aufenthaltserlaubnis für die USA erlangen. Seine erste Ehefrau reichte 1992 die Scheidung ein und gab an, dass er sie bereits am Tag nach der Hochzeit verlassen habe.[2] Er heiratete 1994 Sandra Boss,[3] eine vermögende Harvard-Absolventin, die sich 2007 von ihm scheiden ließ, als er ihr die Auskunft über seine wahre Identität verweigerte.[4] Er verlor das Sorgerecht für seine Tochter aus dieser Ehe, daraufhin kidnappte er seine Tochter. Er wurde nach der Entführung angeklagt und zu fünf Jahren Gefängnis verurteilt.[3][5]

Im März 2011 wurde Gerhartsreiter angeklagt, 1985 das Ehepaar John und Linda Sohus, den Sohn und die Schwiegertochter seiner damaligen Wohnungsvermieter, ermordet zu haben.[6]

Sonstiges

Der auf seiner Lebensgeschichte beruhende Film Wer ist Clark Rockefeller? wurde 2010 mit Eric McCormack in der Hauptrolle und Sherry Stringfield als Sandra Boss verfilmt.
