Disorderly conduct

Disorderly conduct ist in fast allen Bundesstaaten der Vereinigten Staaten ein Straftatbestand, mit dem die „Belästigung der Allgemeinheit“ unter Strafe gestellt werden kann. Disorderly conduct wird typischerweise als Vergehen klassifiziert und milde bestraft. Die entsprechenden Gesetze sind meist so vage definiert, dass unter dem Tatbestand viele unerwünschte Verhaltensweisen erfasst werden können, die nach anderen Strafgesetzen nicht verfolgt werden können. Typische Anwendungsbereiche sind öffentliches Betrunkensein, „Störung des Friedens“ und das Herumlungern an bestimmten Orten.

An amerikanischen Jugendgerichten ist disorderly conduct – nach Misshandlung (simple assault), Diebstahl, Strafvereitelung und Verstößen gegen die Drogengesetze – der am fünfthäufigsten verhandelte Straftatbestand.[1]
