Eight Bells

Eight Bells ist der Name eines britischen Flugplatzes aus dem Zweiten Weltkriegs im Südwesten von Ägypten. Er wurde von der Long Range Desert Group eingerichtet. Der Name leitet sich aus einer nordwestlich gelegenen, etwa sieben Kilometer langen Hügelkette ab. Heute noch markieren in den Boden eingelassene Benzinkanister den Landeplatz, der von Touristen gelegentlich besucht wird.
