Felix Slade

Felix Joseph Slade (* 6. August 1788; † 29. März 1868) war ein englischer Rechtsanwalt und Kunstsammler.

Leben

Aus seinem Nachlass wurden Professuren an der Universität Oxford, Universität Cambridge und dem University College London (UCL) begründet. Am University College London entstand aus dieser Stiftung 1871 die Slade School of Arts. John Ruskin war der erste Inhaber der als Gastprofessur gestalteten Stellung an der Universität Oxford, während Matthew Digby Wyatt als erster die gleiche Stellung an der Universität Cambridge bekleidete.
