Fotolia ist eine internationale Bildagentur für lizenzfreie Fotos, Grafiken, und Videos. Fotolia verfügt nach eigenen Angaben über einen Datenbestand von über 14,7 Millionen lizenzfreien Bildern.

Dienstleistungen

2005 ist die Microstock-Agentur von Thibaud Elzière, Oleg Tscheltzoff und Patrick Chassany gegründet worden. Hauptsitz der Firma ist New York, die europäische Zentrale hat ihren Sitz in Paris. Die Fotos werden ausschließlich über das Internet vertrieben. Es gibt zwei Geschäftsmodelle, der Bilderbezug ist entweder dateiweise oder im Abonnement möglich. Neben der englischen Sprachvariante ist Fotolia in russischer, französischer, spanischer, portugiesischer, italienischer, deutscher und japanischer Sprache verfügbar. Eine Ausweitung auf den koreanischen Sprachraum ist geplant.
