Gawab ist ein kostenloser E-Mail-Provider im Nahen Osten. Laut WHOIS-Abfrage befindet sich der Server in Alexandria. Das Unternehmen wurde 1999 gegründet und ist einer der wenigen Anbieter, die eine Ajax-basierte Weboberfläche bieten. Gawab ist die Lautschrift des arabischen Wortes für einen Brief. Die Server stehen in Ägypten. Aufgrund von Hardwareproblemen und Lieferverzögerungen bei der Ersatzteilbeschaffung war die E-Mail-Funktion von gawab.com zwischen dem 30. Mai und dem 3. Juli 2011 nicht erreichbar.[1]
