Harpasa

Harpasa (griechisch Ἅρπασα) war eine antike Stadt in der kleinasiatischen Landschaft Karien in der heutigen Türkei.

Harpasa lag am Arpasos, einem Nebenfluss des Mäanders.[1] In seiner Nähe soll sich ein seltsamer Fels befunden haben.[2] In späthellenistischer und römischer Zeit, als die Stadt zur Provinz Asia gehörte, prägte Harpasa Münzen. Auf ein spätantikes Bistum der Stadt geht das Titularbistum Harpasa der römisch-katholischen Kirche zurück.
