John Prendergast Vereker

John Prendergast Vereker (* 1822; † Dezember 1891) war im Jahr 1863 der Oberbürgermeister von Dublin (Lord Mayor of Dublin).[1]

John Prendergast Vereker war der zweitälteste Sohn von John Prendergast Vereker, 3. Viscount Gort und Maria O'Grady (1791–1854). Er besuchte das Trinity College in Dublin und erhielt dort seinen Master of Arts. Danach praktizierte Vereker ab 1847 als Barrister. Im Jahr 1863 bekleidete er das Amt des Oberbürgermeisters von Dublin. Damit Vereker seit 1841, als Daniel O’Connell Oberbürgermeister war, der erste praktizierende Barrister in diesem Amt.[2]

Am 21. Dezember 1858 heiratete er Louisa Medlicott. Aus der Ehe gingen vier Kinder, zwei Töchter und zwei Söhne, hervor.
