Ein kissing gate ist ein Tor, welches Fußgängern den Zugang zu einer Weide ermöglicht, aber das Großvieh zurückhält.

Das kissing gate hat auf der einen Seite eine halbrunde, rechteckige oder trapezförmige Einfassung (den so genannten Korb). Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite findet sich ein Torelement, das an Angeln befestigt ist. Um das kissing gate zu durchqueren betritt man die Einfassung und bewegt das Tor bis zum gegenüberliegenden Anschlag. Danach kann das kissing gate auf der anderen Seite verlassen werden. Der Name basiert darauf, dass der Torflügel mit seiner offenen Seite die beiden Anschläge jeweils nur berührt (Kuss = en.: kiss) ohne einzurasten.
