Knobs Flat ist ein kleiner Ort im Southland-Distrikt in der Region Southland auf der Südinsel Neuseelands. Er liegt am westlichen Arm des Eglinton River sowie am von Te Anau nach Norden zum Milford Sound führenden, touristisch bedeutsamen State Highway 94 etwas mehr als 30 km nordöstlich von Te Anau. Dieser ist auch die einzige VErkehrsverbindung des Ortes. Nächstgelegene Orte in diesem dünnbesiedelten Gebiet sind Te Anau Downs in südlicher Richtung und Cascade Creek im Norden.

Der Name des Ortes ist von "buckelartigen" Erdabblagerungen glazialen Ursprungs abgeleitet, die in der Umgebung zu finden sind.
