Ma Tong

Abu Yusuf Ma Tong (chinesisch 阿布·尤素甫·马通 Abu Yousufu Ma Tong; * 1929 in Zhangjiachuan, Gansu) ist ein huichinesischer Islamwissenschaftler, dessen Arbeitsschwerpunkt die Geschichte des Islam und der Hui-Chinesen in Nordwestchina ist. Er legte 1949 sein Jura-Examen an der Nordwest-Universität ab. Er gilt als einer besten Kenner des chinesischen Islam.

Von ihm verfasste oder herausgegebene wissenschaftliche Schriften sind (bzw. sind enthalten in): Zhongguo Yisilan jiaopai yu menhuan zhidu shilüe[1] (Kurze Geschichte der chinesischen islamischen Schulen und des Menhuan-Systems), Yisilanjiao zai Zhongguo[2] (Islam in China), Zhongguo Yisilan baike quanshu[3] (Enzyklopädia des Islam in China), Zhongguo Huizu da cidian[4] (Wörterbuch der Hui in China).
