Mawlānā

Mawlānā oder auch Maulana (arabisch مولانا für „unser Herr“, „unser Meister“) ist vor allem in Zentral- und Südasien ein religiöser Titel für islamische Gelehrte, die meist Absolventen einer Madrasa oder einer anderen islamischen Schule sind. Er wird für gewöhnlich als Titel vor dem eigentlichen Namen getragen.
