Die Mount Sinai School of Medicine ist eine private, staatlich anerkannte Hochschule in New York City mit dem Schwerpunkt Humanmedizin und Biologie und Teil des Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Geschichte
Die Mount Sinai School of Medicine wurde am 28. Juni 1963 durch das Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York, gegründet. Das dazugehörige Hospital bestand bereits seit 1852. Die ersten Studenten begannen 1968 ihr Studium.[1]
Studium
Sie zählt zu den besten Ausbildungsplätzen für Mediziner und Biowissenschaftler in den USA. Zurzeit wird ihr PhD-Programm als drittbestes bewertet (Survey von Academic Analytics) und das NIH reiht sie hinsichtlich eingeworbener Mittel auf Platz 18.[2]
