Ohura ist eine kleine Ortschaft im Westen der Nordinsel Neuseelands. Sie liegt westlich von Taumarunui in der Region King Country im Inland der Region Manawatu-Wanganui.

Der Ort liegt am Ufer des Mangaroa River, eines Zuflusses des Ohura River, der wiederum in den Whanganui River mündet.

Ohura war Zentrum des Kohleabbaues in der Region. Die Minen und das zugehörige Schienennetz war wichtiger Teil der lokalen Wirtschaft.

Beim Zensus 2006 hatte der Ort 165 Einwohner, ein Rückgang um 57 seit 2001.[1]

In Ohura befindet sich ein kleines Museum zur Ortsgeschichte.
