China-Nepal Highway

Der China-Nepal Highway (Zhong-Ni gonglu 中尼公路) ist eine Straßenverbindung zwischen Lhasa im Autonomen Gebiet Tibet der Volksrepublik China und der Freundschaftsbrücke an der Grenze zu Nepal. Auf nepalesischem Gebiet führt die Straße weiter nach Kathmandu. Der chinesische Streckenabschnitt ist 829 km lang und führt über Doilungdêqên, Xigazê, Sa'gya, Lhazê und Nyalam; der nepalesische ist 114 km lang.[1] Mit dem Bau wurde 1963 begonnen, für den Verkehr freigegeben wurde er 1967.[2] Er ist eine Hauptverkehrsverbindung zu den Ländern im Süden.
