Die Otto Christ AG ist ein Hersteller von Autowaschanlagen mit Hauptsitz Memmingen (Deutschland). Er ist laut eigenen Angaben einer der führenden Hersteller in Europa. Sein Produktsortiment reicht von der Portalwaschanlage, über die Waschstraße, Tram- und Zugwaschanlage, Polieranlage und LKW-BUS-Waschanlage bis zum SB-Waschplatz und zur Wasser-Rückgewinnungsanlage. Daneben bietet er Zubehör wie Staubsauger, HD-Reiniger, Werbemittel, Magnetkartenleser sowie verschiedene Autowasch- und Pflegeprodukte an für Komplett- und Servicelösungen im Bereich Fahrzeugwäsche. Die Otto Christ AG ist international tätig und besitzt Tochterfirmen in Österreich, Schweiz, Frankreich, Niederlande, Norwegen, Polen, der Tschechischen Republik, der Slowakei, Ungarn, Spanien, Italien und Belgien. Der Exportanteil beträgt zirka 48 %.

Geschichte

Im Jahre 1879 gründete Anton Christ einen Handwerksbetrieb für die Herstellung von Getreidesiebe, Drahtgewebe und Kirchengitter in Memmingen. 1963 baute Franz Christ die erste Autowaschanlage neben dem elterlichen Betrieb. 1980 spezialisiert sich die Firma auf die Herstellung von Autowaschanlagen und Waschstraßen. 1996 erfolgt die Gründung der Aktiengesellschaft Otto Christ. 2007 wurde die Verpackungsfirma Skinetta Pac Systeme GmbH & Co. KG von der, ebenfalls in Memmingen ansässigen, Firma Hans Kolb Wellpappe‎ erworben um damit die Verpackungssparte Christ Packing Systems zu vergrößern.

Die Otto Christ AG ist eine Familien-AG und unterhält Tochterfirmen in Österreich, Schweiz, Frankreich, Niederlande, Norwegen, Polen, der Tschechischen Republik, der Slowakei, Ungarn, Spanien, Italien und Belgien (Stand Mai 2008).
