Die Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship ist eine 1998 vom Ehepaar Klaus und Hilde Schwab gegründete Nichtregierungsorganisation mit dem Ziel Soziale Innovationen zu fördern.
Mit dem Preis „Social Entrepreneur 2009“ zeichnet die Schwab Stiftung, gemeinsam mit der Financial Times Deutschland und der Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Personen und Organisationen aus, die mit innovativen Ideen, Produkten oder Angeboten soziale Ziele verfolgen und dabei unternehmerisch vorgehen. Die Ausgezeichnetetn werden fortan im Netzwerk gefördert.
