Mit Special Exempt wird eine spezielle, relativ selten angewandte Regelung im Tennis bezeichnet. Ist ein Spieler für ein Qualifikationsturnier eines Turniers angemeldet, spielt jedoch zur Zeit des Qualifikationsturnieres noch ein früheres Turnier, so kann ihm ein Platz in der Hauptrunde auch ohne eine Teilnahme an der Qualifikation zugewiesen werden.
