technology and production center switzerland ag (tpc, bis November 2010 tv productioncenter zürich ag)[1] ist verantwortlich für die Produktion von Content für SRF (Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen) und realisiert Broadcast-Lösungen im Kundenauftrag. Als zukunftsorientiertes Technologieunternehmen unterstützen die 1000 Mitarbeitenden von tpc switzerland ag die SRG SSR bei der Erreichung des Service Public. Dank technischer Innovationsbereitschaft und der Zusammenarbeit mit Partnern ist die SRG SSR Tochtergesellschaft tpc switzerland ag Marktführer in der Schweiz für Broadcast & Beyond-Produkte.
Geschichte
Am 14. September 1999 genehmigte die SRG SSR idée suisse die Gründung der tpc switzerland ag. Damit wurde das Produktionszentrum des Schweizer Fernsehen auf den 1. Januar 2000 in eine eigenständige Aktiengesellschaft überführt. Das Unternehmen ist eine hundertprozentige Tochtergesellschaft der SRG SSR idée suisse und wird wirtschaftlich vom Schweizer Fernsehen kontrolliert.
Das Unternehmen hat seinen Sitz im Gebäudekomplex des Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF) am Leutschenbach in Zürich Seebach.
Vor der Umbenennung im November 2010 hiess das Unternehmen tv productioncenter zürich ag.
