The Comebacks ist eine US-amerikanische Sportfilm-Parodie aus dem Jahr 2007. Der Film heißt in Deutschland The Comebacks, in Großbritannien, Griechenland und Finnland ist der Filmtitel Sports Movie und in Brasilien lautet der Filmtitel Team of Crazy.

Handlung

Coach Lambeau Fields (David Koechner) ist der schlimmste Trainer der Sportgeschichte. Nun hat er beschlossen, aufzuhören und sich eine andere Arbeit zu suchen. Doch sein Kollege Freddie Wiseman (Carl Weathers), überredet ihn, nach Texas zu kommen und an einer Highschool wieder Footballtrainer zu werden. Er muss bald einsehen, dass seiner Mannschaft ein Quarterback fehlt. Nach einiger Zeit verlässt seine Frau (Melora Hardin) ihn, weil er keine Zeit mehr für seine Familie aufbringt.

Kritiken

Der Film wurde in einer echten Football-Arena gedreht. Die Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle der Filmwirtschaft des Films wechselt sich ständig. Regisseur Tom Brady wollte mit dem Film ausdrücken, wie lustig man Sport in Slapstick umwandeln kann
