Die Tongil Group ist ein südkoreanischer Mischkonzern.

Geschichte

1963 gründete Sun Myung Moon eine Herstellerfirma aus der sich die Tongil Group entwickelte. Sie ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation, deren Einnahmen für Aktivitäten der Vereinigungskirche benutzt werden. Der Konzern schrieb lange Zeit rote Zahlen und hatte 2004 Schulden von 36,6 Millionen US-Dollar.[1]

Seit 2005 ist der Vorsitzende der Tongil Group Moons Sohn Kook-jin Moon.[2] Er nahm strukturelle Veränderungen vor, zu denen der Verkauf und die Schließung der Hälfte der Tochtergesellschaften zählte. Dadurch erzielte der Konzern 2009 zum ersten Mal einen Gewinn.[1]
