D. C. Simpson

David Craig Simpson (* 23. April 1977 in Pullman, Washington) ist ein US-amerikanischer Comiczeichner.

Seit dem 1. Januar 1998 zeichnet er den anthropomorphen Webcomic Ozy and Millie, der von ihm mehrmals pro Woche aktualisiert wird. Wesentliches Handlungselement des oft absurd oder surreal anmutenden Comicstrips im Stil von Calvin und Hobbes stellen die Schwierigkeiten junger Schüler dar, die nicht der gesellschaftlichen Norm entsprechen.

Seit dem 30. Januar 2004 zeichnet er unter dem Titel I Drew This einen zweiten, rein politisch orientierten Comicstrip, in dem er unter anderem heftige Kritik an der amerikanischen Regierung unter George W. Bush übt. Auf einen am 16. Mai 2005 veröffentlichten I-Drew-This-Strip geht das Konzept des Intelligent Fallings zurück, welches eine satirische Antwort auf das vor allem von amerikanischen Christen vertretene Konzept des Intelligent Designs darstellt.

Shiver, sein erstes Musikalbum, wurde am 18. Mai 2005 veröffentlicht.
