E-Type, eigentlich Bo Martin Erik Eriksson, (* 27. August 1965 in Uppsala) ist ein schwedischer Dance-Musiker.

1991 begann die Geschichte des "schwedischen DJ Bobo", als seine Debüt-Single We've got the atmosphere veröffentlicht wird. Doch erst drei Jahre später (1994) gelingt E-Type der große Durchbruch mit seinem Platin-Album Made In Sweden (produziert von Denniz Pop und Max Martin, später verantwortlich für Hits von Ace Of Base, Backstreet Boys und Britney Spears), das auf den gerade angesagten Eurodance-Sound mit weiblichen Vocals setzt. Die erste Auskopplung Set The World On Fire schafft es bis auf Platz 2 der schwedischen Charts, der Nachfolger This Is The Way ist eine Nr.1 und auch in vielen anderen Ländern populär. Es folgt eine lange Reihe weiterer Party-Hits aber auch Balladen und rockigerer Tracks.

1996 kann sich Calling Your Name in den amerikanischen Billboard-Charts behaupten.

Weitere wichtige Veröffentlichungen sind der offizielle Song zur Fußball-Europameisterschaft 2000 (Campione 2000), ein Duett mit der deutschen Sängerin Blümchen (Es ist nie vorbei) und schließlich die offizielle schwedische Hymne für die Olympischen Sommerspiele in Athen 2004 (Olympia). Mit Paradise nahm E-Type außerdem an der schwedischen Vorentscheidung zum Eurovision Song Contest 2004 teil. Dabei belegte er den fünften Platz.
