E. F. Benson

Edward Frederic Benson (* 24. Juli 1867; † 29. Februar 1940) war ein englischer Autor.

Er wurde am Wellington College in Berkshire geboren, als fünftes Kind des Rektors, Edward White Benson. Benson studierte am Marlborough College in Marlborough, Wiltshire und am King’s College in Cambridge.

E. F. Benson verfasste über 90 Bücher. Die populärsten waren seine komischen Romane über Dodo („Dodo“, „Dodo the Second“ und „Dodo Wonder“, 1914-1921) und Lucia, beginnend mit „Queen Lucia“ (1920) und „Lucia in London“ (1927).

Zwischen 1911 und 1940 veröffentlichte Benson auch fünf Ausgaben mit persönlichen und familiären Erinnerungen.
