East Palo Alto ist eine Stadt im San Mateo County im US-Bundesstaat Kalifornien, Vereinigte Staaten, mit 32.200 Einwohnern (Stand: 2004). Die geographischen Koordinaten sind: 37,47° Nord, 122,13° West. Das Stadtgebiet hat eine Größe von 6,7 km². East Palo Alto liegt auf halben Weg zwischen San Francisco und San Jose. East Palo Alto liegt nördlich von der Stadt Palo Alto und ist eine eigene Stadt und nicht wie viele annehmen, der östliche Teil von Palo Alto. Zudem liegt es im Gegensatz dazu im County San Mateo, Palo Alto im Santa Clara County. Beide Städte sind durch den San Francisquito Creek getrennt. Im westen befindet sich die Stadt Menlo Park.

Einwohner

Die Einwohner von East Palo Alto bestehen aus etwa 70% aus Latinos und zu 25% aus African Americans. East Palo Alto ist mit 18,8% zudem die Stadt mit den meisten Pacific Islanders auf dem Festland der USA (ohne Hawaii)
