Der Titel EDP – Electronic Document Professional wird Menschen im Dokumentenumfeld verliehen, die eine gewisse Breite und Tiefe im Erstellen und/oder Umgang mit Dokumenten in jeglicher Form (digital, druck oder als Daten zum Beispiel XML) nachweisen können.
Dieser Titel wird jährlich nach erfolgreicher Zertifizierung durch die Xplor verliehen.
Es empfiehlt sich, einen Mentor für den Zertifizierungsprozeß als Berater zur Seite zu nehmen, der die drei benötigten Workcases auf ausreichende bzw. notwendige Breite und Tiefe über Wissen im Dokumentenumfeld beurteilen und Hilfestellung geben kann.
In den Niederlanden organisiert die Xplor eigene EDP-Klassen, die Mentoren und andere Hilfestellungen bieten.
Um den Titel EDP tragen zu dürfen, benötigt man keine akademische Ausbildung.
