Equity Office Properties Trust (NYSE: EOP) ist das größte US-amerikanische, börsennotierte Büro-Immobilienunternehmen mit Firmensitz in Chicago. Das Unternehmen ist im Aktienindex S&P 500 gelistet. Equity Office Properties Trust besitzt und verwaltet etwa 590 Immobilien in den USA, zumeist Bürogebäude in Ballungszentren.

Die Private-Equity-Gruppe Blackstone strebt seit Ende 2006 eine Übernahme von EOP zum Preis von ca. 38 Mrd. USD an. Dies ist bis dato die größte Unternehmensübernahme durch einen Finanzinvestor.[2][3]; die Übernahme gelingt Anfang Februar 2007 für 39 Milliarden US-Dollar inklusive Schulden.

Geschichte

EOP wurde 1976 von Sam Zell gegründet.
