Air Mandalay ist eine regional operierende myanmarische Fluggesellschaft mit Sitz in Rangun. Sie führt Linien- und Charterflüge im Inland und in das benachbarte Ausland durch. Das Luftfahrt-Drehkreuz befindet sich am Yangon International Airport.

Geschichte

Das Unternehmen wurde am 6. Oktober 1994 gegründet und nahm den Flugbetrieb am 18. Oktober 1994 mit einem Flug von Rangun nach Mandalay auf. Der erste internationale Flug fand am 27. August 1995 statt (Rangun - Chiang Mai in Thailand).

Ziele

Air Mandalay führt unter anderem nationale Linienflüge nach Bagan, Heho und Tachilek durch. Internationale Verbindungen gibt es aktuell nicht, die Flüge von Mandalay nach Chiang Mai (Thailand) wurden wegen zu geringer Nachfrage wieder eingestellt.
