Das European Robotics Research Network (EURON) beinhaltet um die 200 Robotik-Forschungszentren in Universitäten und Unternehmen in Europa. Erklärtes Ziel dieses Netzwerkes ist die Förderung von Forschung, Ausbildung und Handel rund um die Robotik innerhalb Europas. Außerdem nimmt es als zentrale Anlaufstelle zur Europäischen Kommission eine wichtige internationale Funktion innerhalb der Gemeinschaft wahr. Aus dem Netzwerk gehen Vorschläge für Roadmaps und Forschungsvorhaben für Themenstellungen der Robotik hervor.
