Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) ist ein amerikanisches Unternehmen das im Umfeld von Finanzdienstleistungen unterstützende Software und die Abwicklung finanzieller Transaktionen anbietet.
Die Geschichte von FIS reicht bis in das Jahr 1962 zurück. In diesem Jahr wurde das Vorläuferunternehmen Computer Power Incorporated gegründet. Seitdem ist das Unternehmen vor allem durch eine Vielzahl von Fusionen gewachsen. Im Jahr 2004 übernahm FIS die Kordoba GmbH. Seit der Fusion mit Certegy zum 1. Februar 2006 wird FIS an der New York Stock Exchange gehandelt. Das Unternehmen wird dort im S&P 500 geführt. FIS unterhält Geschäftsbeziehungen zu mehr als 10.000 Finanzdienstleistern, darunter 37 der 50 weltgrößten Banken.
Im Jahr 2007 beschäftigte das Unternehmen etwa 31.000 Mitarbeiter und erzielte einen Umsatz von 4,758 Milliarden US-Dollar. [1]
