Fort Sill ist eine Militärbasis der US Army. Die Basis liegt im Bundesstaat Oklahoma, ca. 85 Meilen südwestlich von Oklahoma City. Fort Sill ist das letzte der während der Indianerkriege errichteten Forts der südlichen Prärie, welches noch aktiv von der Army genutzt wird. Gegründet am 8. Januar 1869 durch Major General Philip Sheridan, benannte es dieser nach seinem im amerikanischen Bürgerkrieg in der Schlacht am Stones River gefallenen Freund Brigadier General Joshua W. Sill. Im Jahre 2008 sind gut 20.000 Soldaten in Fort Sill stationiert.

Heute befindet sich die United States Army Field Artillery School in Fort Sill. Bis 2011 wird die Air Defense Artillery School von Fort Bliss nach Fort Sill verlegt.

Der Stützpunktkommandant ist derzeit Colonel Robert S. Bridgford.[1]
