Garies ist ein kleines landwirtschaftliches Zentrum in der Gemeinde Kamiesberg, Distrikt Namaqua, Provinz Nordkap in Südafrika, rund 110 Kilometer südlich von Springbok, der Hauptstadt des Namaqualand-Distrikts und 146 Kilometer nordwestlich von Vanrhynsdorp. Garies ist Sitz der Gemeindeverwaltung von Kamiesberg.

Gegründet wurde der Ort 1845. Der Name leitet sich von einem Khoisan-Begriff für „kriechendes Gras“ ab, welches man in der Umgebung findet. Garies hat zurzeit 2.052 Einwohner (Stand: 2010; Hochrechnung).[1]
