Gatekeeper steht für:

  • Gatekeeper (Nachrichtenforschung), in der Publizistik- und Kommunikationswissenschaft metaphorisch ein Einflussfaktor, der darüber entscheiden kann, welche Nachricht in den Medien erscheint
  • Gatekeeper (Soziologie), in der Soziologie Personen, die aufgrund von Fähigkeiten oder Positionen die Möglichkeit haben, die Mobilität von Menschen zu beeinflussen
  • das Hausarztmodell, bei dem Patienten bei gesundheitlichen Beschwerden zunächst ihren Hausarzt aufsuchen müssen
  • ein Gerät, das wesentliche Gateway-Funktionalitäten zwischen IP-Netz und Telefonnetz in einer IP-Telephonie-Installation übernimmt, siehe H.323#Gatekeeper
