George Douglas 1. Earl of Angus (* ca. 1378; † September 1402) war ein schottischer Adliger.
Leben
George war ein Sohn des William Douglas, 1. Earl of Douglas, aus seiner Verbindung mit Margaret, Tochter des Thomas Stewart, Earl of Angus. Er erhielt den Titel eines Earl of Angus 1389. George kämpfte in der Schlacht von Homildon Hill am 14. September 1402, wo er in englische Gefangenschaft geriet und im selben Jahr in England an der Beulenpest starb.
George Douglas gilt als Gründer der Roten Linie der Familie Douglas während Archibald Douglas, 3. Earl of Douglas, als Stammvater der Schwarzen Linie gilt.
Nachkommen
George war seit dem 24. Mai 1397 verheiratet mit Mary Stewart, Tochter des schottischen Königs Robert III. und hatte mit ihr zwei Kinder:
