Hafsa bint Umar, arabisch ‏حفصة بنت عمر ‎ Hafsa bint 'Umar, DMG Ḥafṣa bint ʿUmar (* um 604 oder 606; † zwischen 661 und 665 in Medina), war die Tochter von Umar ibn al-Chattab und Ehefrau des Propheten Mohammed.

Sie war zunächst verheiratet mit Chunais ibn Hudhafa, wanderte mit ihm nach Medina aus und wurde, nach dem Tod ihres Mannes auf dem Rückweg von der Schlacht von Badr, zur Witwe. Nachdem Abu Bakr und Uthman ibn Affan abgelehnt hatten, sie zu heiraten, ging Umar zu Mohammed, um sich zu beschweren, doch Mohammed antwortete, "Hafsa wird einen besseren als Uthman heiraten, und Uthman eine bessere als Hafsa." Schließlich heiratete er sie, als sie zwanzig war und er 56.

Hafsa besaß ein Koranexemplar, das bei der "Sammlung des Korans" durch den Kalifen Uthman von entscheidender Bedeutung war.

Nach widersprüchlichen Angaben der alten Biographen starb Hafsa zwischen 661-665 in Medina.
