Die Hindawi Publishing Corporation ist ein wissenschaftlicher Zeitschriftenverlag, der 1997 von zwei ägyptischen Wissenschaftlern gegründet wurde. Hindawi publiziert derzeit (Stand: August 2010) über 200 peer-reviewte Fachzeitschriften und einige wissenschaftliche Monografien. Die Firma hat Büros in New York und Kairo. Sie gehört zu den Vorreitern der Open-Access-Bewegung[1][2], die wissenschaftliche Fachliteratur für jeden Interessierten zugänglich machen will. Hindawi gehört zu den ersten Verlagen, die ausschließlich nach den Standards des Open Access publiziert (seit 2007). Auch gedruckte Zeitschriften sind gegen Entgelt erhältlich. [3]
