Hugh French Thomason

Hugh French Thomason (* 22. Februar 1826 in Smith County, Tennessee; † 30. Juli 1893 in Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas) war ein amerikanischer Politiker aus dem 19. Jahrhundert.

Thomason vertrat 1861 seinen Heimatstaat Arkansas bei dem Sezessionskonvent und anschließend im Provisorischen Konföderiertenkongress der Konföderierten Staaten. Nach dem Krieg war zweimal, 1866 und 1886, in der State Legislature von Arkansas tätig. Ferner vertrat er seinen Staat 1874 bei dessen Verfassungskonvent. Im selben Jahr kandidierte er auch für einen Sitz im US-Repräsentantenhaus. Danach war er 1880 im Senat von Arkansas tätig. Von 1890 bis 1893 übte er das Amt als Richter in Arkansas aus.

Hugh French Thomason verstarb in Van Buren, wo er auch auf dem Fairview Cemetery beigesetzt wurde.
