IAPWS

Die International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam (IAPWS, ehemals IAPS) ist ein internationaler Verband von 12 nationalen Organisationen, die sich der Erforschung der Eigenschaften des Wassers verschrieben haben. Im Zentrum stehen dabei die thermodynamischen Eigenschaften bei hohen Temperaturen. Der Verband gliedert sich in vier Arbeitsgruppen und ist Veranstalter der "International Conference on the Properties of Water and Steam", die alle vier Jahre an wechselnden Orten ausgerichtet wird. Im Jahr 2004 war dies die 14. Konferenz mit dem Tagungsort Kyōto, und im Jahr 2008 die 15. Konferenz in Berlin.
