Il Divo ist eine multinationale Gesangsgruppe mit Sängern aus vier Nationen. Sie trat erstmals im Dezember 2003 auf und verbindet Elemente von Klassik und Pop. Für die Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2006 in Deutschland haben sie zusammen mit Toni Braxton das offizielle Lied mit dem Titel Time of Our Lives aufgenommen und traten im selben Jahr bei 20 Konzerten auf einer Nordamerika-Tournee als Begleitung von Barbra Streisand auf. Der Name wurde bewusst gewählt und bedeutet göttliche Künstler beziehungsweise männliche Diva, wörtlich Der Divo. Die Gruppe meinte, dies erinnere sehr schön an die Welt der Oper.
