Jieyang (揭阳) ist eine bezirksfreie Stadt in der Volksrepublik China. Sie liegt in der südchinesischen Provinz Guangdong, hat eine Fläche von 5.138 km² und ca. 5,84 Mio. Einwohner (2002).

Administrative Gliederung

Administrative Gliederung der bezirksfreien Stadt Jieyang

Jieyang setzt sich aus einem Stadtbezirk, einer kreisfreien Stadt und drei Kreisen zusammen:

  • (1) Stadtbezirk Rongcheng (榕城区), 182 km², ca. 650.000 Einwohner (2003);
  • (2) Stadt Puning (普宁市), 1.620 km², ca. 2,01 Mio. Einwohner (2003);
  • (3) Kreis Jiedong (揭东县), 850 km², 1,21 Mio. Einwohner (2003), Hauptort: Großgemeinde Quxi (曲溪镇);
  • (4) Kreis Jiexi (揭西县), 1.279 km², ca. 890.000 Einwohner (2003), Hauptort: Großgemeinde Hepo (河婆镇);
  • (5) Kreis Huilai (惠来县), 1.207 km², ca. 1,08 Mio. Einwohner (2003), Hauptort: Großgemeinde Huicheng (惠城镇).
