Klaus Pätau

Klaus Pätau, im angelsächsischen Sprachraum auch Klaus Patau, (* 1908; † 1975) war ein deutsch-amerikanischer Humangenetiker.

Er untersuchte die Gene der Fruchtfliege Drosophila melanogaster und lehrte in Madison (Wisconsin) an der University of Wisconsin. 1960 beschrieb er erstmals das später auch nach ihm benannte Pätau-Syndrom als Folge einer Trisomie des menschlichen Chromosoms 13 oder von Teilen davon.
