Mberengwa

Mberengwa, auch Belingwe, ist ein 1100 m hoch gelegener Ort mit etwa 5.000 Einwohnern (2006) und ein Distrikt in der Provinz Midlands in Simbabwe. Der Ort liegt südöstlich von Gweru am Fluss Runde.

Das Umland ist völlig agrarisch geprägt und wurde früher durch einige große Landgüter bearbeitet. In der Nähe liegt der Imbahuru Damm, der Bewässerung, Viehtränke, Haushaltsversorgung, Fischzucht und Ziegelproduktion ermöglicht. Aber wie überall im ländlichen Simbabwe ist auch diese Region seit der Landreform von Hunger, Unterernährung und zunehmender Verarmung betroffen.
