Midtre Gauldal ist eine Kommune (Gemeinde) im mittelnorwegischen Verwaltungsbezirk Sør-Trøndelag.
Sie liegt rund 50 km südlich von Trondheim im Gebirge und umfasst mehrere Orte im Tal des Flusses Gaula und einiger Seitentäler. Verwaltungssitz und größte Ortschaft ist Støren; weitere Siedlungen sind Budal, Singsås und Soknedal.
Die Flüsse Gaula, Sokna und Bua sind für ihren Lachsreichtum bekannt.
