Das Natural-Pulping-Verfahren ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Zellstoff aus nachwachsenden Lignocellulosen wie z. B. Holz, Stroh oder Bambus, entwickelt vom Gewinner des Chemie-Bundeswettbewerbs von 1995, Sven Siegle.

Wesentlicher Kern des Verfahrens ist die Kochung mit Ameisensäure und Wasserstoffperoxid. Durch diese Kochung wird das Lignin abgebaut, herausgelöst und somit die Zellulose freigelegt. Anschließend kann die Ameisensäure wieder über destillative Schritte zurückgewonnen werden.

Bei diesem Verfahren liegen die Vorteile in der Umweltfreundlichkeit und der besonderen Eignung für Einjahrespflanzen.

Siegle gründete gemeinsam mit seinem Vater Erich die Natural Pulping AG, um das entwickelte Verfahren zur Marktreife zu bringen. Mangels williger Finanziers musste die Firma allerdings 2001 Insolvenz anmelden.
