Norris McWhirter

Norris McWhirter (* 12. August 1925 in Winchmore Hill, Middlesex; † 19. April 2004 in Wiltshire) war ein britischer Verleger und Mitbegründer des berühmten Nachschlagewerks Guinness-Buch der Rekorde.

Er gründete 1954 mit seinem Zwillingsbruder Ross McWhirter das inzwischen weltweit verbreitete Rekorde-Lexikon. Sein Bruder wurde 1975 bei einem IRA-Anschlag getötet. Norris McWhirter war bis 1996 aktiv in dem Verlag tätig.

Er starb im Alter von 78 Jahren beim Tennisspiel an einem Herzinfarkt.
